Had this for a long time - got if for free though so I can't complain. Found it in a field, and it was sitting for many years - the guy didn't want it and said to take er away. For about 8 years I've had it sitting behind my shop till this last summer and I got bored with it being stock
76 K5 blazer
350/sm465/np 205 combo
4.10 gears with posi front and rear
Stock form - well at least how I found it
31" bald all terrains, clutch was ill, but it was still mobil
I had a few sets of 38s layin around so I took a sledge hammer and made them fit without a lift
Then sold the zookie and used the money to buy some parts for the blazer - 6" rough country lift, 39.5x15.50x15 swampers, stainless front brake lines, etc. - also scored a great deal on a 14b ff, but havent put it in yet. Might put these on too - 2.02 vette heads - just laying under my bed at my parents home now
What sucks is the blazer is still 450 miles north of my place now - at my shop back home. So bring parts is whatever I can fit my ram at a time. Got the lift on, but only had two tires to bring up. Also trimmed front and rear fenders some more. Man I forgot how horrible it was working on a rusted up rig - thank god for torches
Got the lift on finally and all the tires too - can't wait to get it out on the trail. Probably try it out a few times before I haul it down here though.
Painted it primer gray for now
Oh yeah including purchase price this project to date has cost around 1420 bucks.
